The Appearing...
The Coming of the Very son of God
We all love Christmas music; the holiday season just isn’t complete without the carols, the instruments, and timeless imagery they evoke. Among the oldest of these “songs of the season” is O Come, O Come Emmanuel, an eerie and expectant hymn whose origins go back more than a thousand years. Yet the words of this song remain ever new, drawing us into the story of a community who eagerly looked for their Messiah. This advent season, we’ll revisit the ancient tales of hope and transformation that O Come, O Come Emmanuel shares. Join us at 8:30 and 10:30 for the remainder of 2021 for The Appearing… at First Reformed Church!
