Made for more

Stronger Relationships Start Here (Jan-Feb 2026)

We are made for close companionship, but our humanity often gets in the way. Made for More is a sermon series designed to explore God’s intent for relationships that go beyond “meh” and move toward something deeper, healthier, and more life-giving. Through Scripture, practical wisdom, and honest reflection, we will uncover how God invites us to break through walls, address the subtle sins that sabotage connection, and build or restore intimate relationships rooted in Christ.

This series speaks into everyday relationships including marriage, friendships, parenting, family dynamics, and workplace interactions. Along the way, we will confront “acceptable sins” like gossip, selfishness, greed, exaggeration, judgmentalism, and unresolved resentment, not with shame, but with hope. God created us for more than surface-level connection or constant tension. In Christ, we are invited into relationships marked by truth, respect, forgiveness, gratitude, selflessness, and genuine love.

Made for More Bible Reading Plan

Alongside the Made for More: Stronger Relationships Start Here sermon series, we invite you to participate in a Monday–Friday Bible reading plan designed to deepen the themes we explore each Sunday. The daily readings follow the rhythm of the series, offering Scripture that speaks to Christ-centered relationships, honesty, forgiveness, gratitude, selflessness, and learning to appreciate our differences.

This reading plan can be used on your own as a simple way to stay rooted in God’s Word throughout the week, or you can choose to join a Bible reading texting group for added encouragement and connection. Whether you prefer quiet personal reflection or sharing the journey with others, the goal is the same: to grow in faith and live into the “more” God intends for our relationships.

Reading plan bookmarks are available at the Welcome Center and church office, and sign-ups for Bible reading texting groups are open for those who would like to participate together.

Made for More Messages

Galatians 2:20; Matthew 6:33; Colossians 3:17; Proverbs 14:26; 1 John 4:7-11, 19
Whatever we center a relationship on will rise to the top in our conversations and behaviors. This opening message invites us to pursue the “more” we were made for by centering our relationships on Christ, rather than simply adding God to relationships driven by kids, emotions, or ambitions.

January 11, 2026 – Made for More: Revive Respect
Romans 12:9-10; Ephesians 5:33; 6:1-3; 1 Peter 2:17; Leviticus 19:32
God’s intent is for honor to shape our relationships. Familiarity does not have to breed contempt. With Christ, it can feed respect, admiration, and renewed care for one another.

January 18, 2026 – Made for More: Speak Honestly Even When It Hurts
Ephesians 4:25-27; Psalm 15:1-2; Jeremiah 9:4-6; John 8:44; 16:13
We were made for more than peacekeeping at all costs. Intimacy grows when truth is spoken in love, hard conversations are engaged rather than avoided, and trust is built on honesty.

Colossians 3:12-14; Matthew 18:21-35; Ephesians 4:32; Jeremiah 31:34; Isaiah 43:25
We were made for more than the drama of unresolved resentment. Freedom and reconciliation begin when we release grudges and forgive others as God has forgiven us.

February 1, 2026 – Made for More: Express Gratitude Regularly
1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10:24-25; James 5:9; Ephesians 4:29
Encouragement and gratitude have the power to lift relationships to new heights. By building up rather than tearing down, we reflect God’s intent to speak life into the lives of others.

February 8, 2026 – Made for More: Shift from Self-centered to Selfless Living
Galatians 5:13-15; Philippians 2:1-4; Mark 10:45
God made us to fully commit to our relationships without losing ourselves. In Christ’s selfless sacrifice, we learn how gratitude fuels selfless service and deeper connection.

February 15, 2026 – Made for More: Adapt and Appreciate Differences
Romans 15:5-9; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 21-26; 1 Peter 3:8
We were made for relationships that grow and adapt through the years. When we learn to appreciate both our similarities and differences, criticism gives way to compassion, and Christ is reflected in our connections.
