Lamp and Light - Women's April Hikes
We have a new women’s group starting - Lamp and Light: Women’s Outdoor Hike Experience.
This experience is for women, young and old, who enjoy the outdoors and walking with other women. It is an outlet to explore and enjoy the simple goodness of the outdoors, and to experience this within the comfort and safety of a group. If a participant wants to walk alone that day, as in a prayer walk, they are welcome to do that. The beauty and wonder of God’s creation awaits!
The experience can be multi-generational, but the adult sister, aunt, mom or grandmother, are responsible for gals they invite. This is also an excellent opportunity to reach out and invite other women from our community.
The first hikes will take place on Monday, April 25 at 12:30pm and Saturday, April 30 at 12:30pm at Oak Grove (4051 Cherry Ave, Hawarden, IA). We’ve chosen a week day and a Saturday to try to accommodate all those who may like to go. Come to one or both days.
On the day of the hike we will meet at Oak Grove at the Prairie Woods Nature Center at 12:30pm for a sack lunch before embarking on a 3-4 mile hike. Please bring your own gear, water and sack lunch. Sign up at the Welcome Center or call or text Glenda Devries at 712-360-0613.
