How do you know that Jesus is the Messiah? That question and questions like it have reverberated through the centuries. In fact, John the Baptist, the one who baptized Jesus, sent people to Jesus with the very same question.

“Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” (Luke 7:20)

Jesus doesn’t respond in anger. He doesn’t rebuke John’s honest question. Instead, he responds, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.” (Luke 7:22)

This Lent, we will explore these signs that point to Jesus being our true Messiah.
