Elijah
God at Work in a World Off Course (Sept-Oct 2025)
Life can feel chaotic, unpredictable, and even out of control, but God is always at work. In this series, we will walk through the life of Elijah, a prophet who lived in a world that had gone far off course. Through his story, we will see God’s undeniable power and His personal care for His people. When life feels uncertain, Elijah’s experiences remind us that God still provides, guides, and strengthens us in ways we cannot always anticipate.
From surprising provision in desperate times to hope in seasons of deep discouragement, this series will help us rediscover confidence in God’s leadership. Whether you are facing trials that test your faith, wrestling with discouragement, or longing for spiritual renewal, Elijah’s story offers a powerful reminder: even in a world gone wrong, God is always right and He is at work.

Bible Reading (September 8 - October 31)
We invite you to join us this fall as we read through 1 and 2 Kings alongside our Sunday sermon series, Elijah: God at Work in a World Off Course. These books set the stage for Elijah’s story and show us how God worked in the lives of His people during a time when the world seemed far from Him. Each Monday through Friday, you’ll read 1–2 chapters from 1 or 2 Kings that provide context for the Sunday messages and help you see God’s faithfulness even when everything appears out of control.
To help you engage more deeply, you can also sign up for a texting group. These small groups of 4–5 people will read the daily passages and share brief reflections or encouragement by text. It’s a simple way to stay accountable and connect meaningfully with others.
Bookmarks with the full Bible Reading Plan will be available at the Welcome Center and church office beginning Sunday, August 31. We hope you’ll take part in this journey of reading through Scripture and discover how God is at work—even in a world that seems off course.
