Habitat for Humanity: Stud Finder Family Fun Night - 2026

We are excited to share that the Chavez family has been chosen as the partner family for a Habitat for Humanity home right here in Orange City.  Their children are active participants in our youth ministry and consider us a part of their faith family. We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them through this important opportunity.

As part of Habitat for Humanity's program, the Chavez family will be actively involved in the building process, working alongside volunteers and contributing sweat equity toward their new home.

We invite you to join us for a Stud Finder Family Fun Night on Tuesday, June 9, from 5:00-6:30 PM at the Habitat for Humanity build site (1501 Juneau Place SE). We'll gather for a meal, family-friendly activities, and a time of prayer with the Chavez family as we celebrate what God is doing through this partnership.

As construction progresses, opportunities to serve alongside Habitat for Humanity will be available. First Reformed Church is planning volunteer workdays later this summer, though dates may shift depending on construction progress, weather, and scheduling needs. Check back often for the latest information and volunteer sign-ups.

We hope you'll join us as we support the Chavez family and help build a place they can call home.
